Gamarjoba ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Gamarjoba Group LLC, registered at apt. 28, 13 Vazha Pshavela Avenue, Tbilisi 0160, Georgia. We operate the Gamarjoba mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account & Profile Information
- Phone number — used as your primary account identifier when you sign up via phone.
- Email address — collected when you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple.
- Social login IDs — a unique identifier from Google, Facebook, or Apple so we can link your account.
- Nickname, date of birth, gender, and bio — provided by you during profile creation.
- Profile photo — an image you upload as your public profile picture.
1.2 Location Data
- With your permission, we collect your precise GPS coordinates while the App is in the foreground.
- Your location is updated approximately every 30 seconds and only the most recent location is stored.
- Location data is used to show you nearby users, events, and venues. Other users can see your relative closeness but your exact coordinates or distance are never shared.
- Location updates stop automatically when the App is in the background.
- Users whose location has not been updated for more than 10 minutes are automatically hidden from nearby results.
1.3 Media & Content
- Photos and videos you upload to your profile, stories, reels, or chat.
- Stories are short videos (up to 90 seconds) that are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- Chat messages (text, image, and video messages), including message status (sent, delivered, read), edit history, and emoji reactions.
- Likes on media content.
1.4 Identity Verification Data
- If you choose to verify your identity, we collect a facial selfie that is sent to our verification partner for biometric comparison.
- We store your verification status and the selfie image for dispute resolution purposes.
1.5 Device & Technical Data
- Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver notifications to your device.
- Platform (Android or iOS) and language preference.
- We do not collect device IDs, IMEI numbers, advertising identifiers, or hardware fingerprints.
1.6 Connection & Social Data
- Connection requests ("Gamarjoba" requests) you send or receive, including any optional message. Pending requests expire automatically after 24 hours.
- Contact relationships formed when a request is accepted.
- Online/presence status and last-seen timestamps.
1.7 Listings (Events & Venues)
- If you are a venue or event manager, we collect listing details you provide: name, description, type, region, location coordinates, dates, and cover images.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Core features: Nearby user discovery, chat, events, venues, stories, and reels.
- Notifications: To send you push notifications about messages, connection requests, event updates, and content moderation results.
- Identity verification: To verify your identity for trust and safety purposes.
- Content moderation: To automatically screen uploaded images and videos for prohibited content (e.g., nudity) to keep the community safe.
- Location-based discovery: To show you users, events, and venues near your current location.
- Account management: To authenticate you, manage your preferences, and process account deletion requests.
3. Third-Party Services
We share limited data with the following third-party services to operate the App. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored on servers located in Germany (EU) and media files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (EU jurisdiction).
- All data in transit is protected by HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens.
- Database backups are created daily and retained for 30 days.
- We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or behavioral tracking tools in the App.

6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the App settings. When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile, preferences, and personal information
- All media files you uploaded (photos, videos, stories) from both the database and cloud storage
- Your device registrations and push notification tokens
- All chat messages you sent and received (both sides of every conversation are removed)
- Your likes and emoji reactions
- Your connection requests and contact relationships
- Your notifications
- Any listings you created and their associated media
Deletion is performed immediately. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
As your data is processed in the EU, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Update or correct inaccurate personal data through the App or by contacting us.
- Right to erasure: Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the App settings.
- Right to data portability: Request your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data.

8. Your In-App Controls
- Profile visibility: Hide your profile from nearby discovery at any time.
- Location sharing: Disable location updates at any time via App settings or device permissions.
- Online status: Choose whether to show your online/last-seen status.
- Notification preferences: Control which types of push notifications you receive (messages, connection requests, nearby alerts).
9. Children's Privacy
Gamarjoba is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete the account and associated data promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
